The Secretary General of the RDB company posted through social media and media outlets a notice asking the owners of companies operating in Rwanda to provide information on the owners of the real interest.

Based on Law No. 007/2021 dated 05/02/2021 regulating trading companies, amended and supplemented by Law No. 019/2023 dated 30/03/2023, the Registrar reminds all registered companies and applicants for company registration new that it is mandatory to provide information about the owner of the real interest through the RDB website https://bo.rdb.rw and store it at the company's headquarters.

Applicants for company registration or registration of changes in registered companies are hereby informed that their applications will be considered only after they have submitted the information of the beneficial owners through the website provided above.
Registered companies are required to provide beneficial ownership information through the above-mentioned website by October 31, 2023. Companies that do not comply will be subject to legal penalties including administrative fines.
